Even with an hour for lunch, you’d have to really be hustling to get through the parking gate, the front gate, the HH line(s), then eat and walk all the way back to the car.

I work night shift nearby and go before work pretty often, I need at least 90 minutes. lol

Thank you for the takeout options answers. Is Panda Express doing the styrofoam takeout trays or did they switch to plates or something?

What's everyone's favorite and least favorite meal plan item that they've had for the 2019 season?

I still prefer the Harmony Hall pulled pork, but the new Copperhead Strike restaurant (sorry it's late) meals are good, too. I love having greens available. I just wish they'd change from those wire baskets to actual plates, which make more sense for the food they're serving there.

I'd say the Jukebox Diner is about the least inspired meal plan place in the park to me. It also has had some of the most hateful staff I've seen. YMMV of course.

This year Panda Express gives you a bowl (one entree, one side) if you have the meal plan, no takeout tray.

Now that the hot days are here, I'm enjoying the salad at Harmony Hall. Your choice of protein and all the toppings you want. And, in my experience, the ladies running it are friendly and have no problem piling them on.

Quick update: I arrived at the park at 6pm yesterday, helped someone change a tire, walked to Papa Luigi’s and ate, made it back to the car at 6:35... totally doable in an hour

Yup Carowinds has def cut down on the portions. These little plates they are using for I guess portion control are not to my liking lol. When I once would be full in HH outside of the salad, I’m still hungry smh. We are in the South we eat down here. lolol

Sharkeys grill in the waterpark has a roast beast burger that is Huge! It comes with a lot of seasoned crinkle fries that were really good. You also get alot more shrimp in the harbor house shrimp basket than last year.
As far as carryout, we bring a rolled up gallon ziplock bag in with us so everything except papa luigi's parmesian chicken is carryout!

Kind of a mix for me... Not Consistent for sure
Sometimes less.... Sometimes more... I think a lot has to do with the server

Is it just me.... But is the Carowinds "All Season Drink Refill Bottles" a little smaller in Circumference then say a couple of years ago..?

I have been in there on 5 different occasions and every time I ask for it, they just look at me funny and say all we have is Pizza.

I don't have a meal plan, but I use to buy one meal at the park while visiting and have been doing that for decades. 'Use to' is key here. The food and drink prices are highway robbery. After paying $37 for two wingette meals and two drinks, they would not let us get a drink refill because we did not have a drink plan. Never again. I will pack a bologna sandwich, a Hi C punch and eat in a hot car before I buy more food there. I don't go to the park enough to buy a meal/drink plan.

Carowinds better hope this guy never visits.

A North Carolina man has sued a Hardee’s restaurant in federal court after he said staff humiliated him by placing only two Hash Rounds on his breakfast plate with the rest of his order and then refused to give him more.

It’s ok. I’m not a fan of the particular bread. I like the regular hoagie bread that was used last year better

Side rant: I wish Chickies and Pete’s would toast the bread for the cheesesteaks. And please add the chicken wings to the meal plan.

Thanks.... I was wondering about the bread.... Wasn't sure if would be something the crew would like.... For me though if I am hungry especially after swimming I would down it quite fast.

Yes... To toast the bread..... Lightly though so it doesn't become to tough to eat.
