Christopher Mallis wrote:Keep in mind that when pat said her “newest baby” that could mean any year, not just next year. I don’t think they’re gonna do anything with Rapids for 2020

She said her next project would be her next biggest baby. Whether or not they do something to the rapids (and it's looking like they won't), that very obviously indicates next year.

Carowinds hasn’t had a year without a new ride since 2013, 2011 or 1991 depending if you count Dino’s and Starlight Spectactular. Other parks have had atleast one year of no new ride since 2013.

2020 could be Carowinds’ year for no new rides.

There's plenty at the park to entice people to stay at the hotel. It's not like they are building a dream more resort. If that were the case, they would have did their best to open it in time for Copperhead.

I'm honestly just glad we have an on site hotel now, at the rate we're expanding it'd only seem right to add one, now that we're becoming "The Cedar Point of the south" and more people are wanting to come to the park.

Honestly, the impression I’m getting is that Carowinds is just becoming a bigger and better Carowinds. It doesn’t really feel like it compares to other parks in the Cedar Fair chain, and that’s great, because it feels like it’s carving out its own identity again.

I think we will see a car ride, like Kings Island's new antique cars.

I also think we will see a water slide addition.

It's perfect for marketing. 2 new attractions, come for the springtime and experience new (car ride) and come back in the summer to cool off on our new water slide!

I think the real question isn't so much what attraction the park is getting but more so what area is getting revitalized. I'm leaning hard towards one area but i'm taking a "wait and see" approach.

I’d be shocked if Crossroads wasn’t up next. Dinosaurs Alive is about to open up, and that back section near Plants Vs. Zombies looks painfully run-down compared to the rest of the park. I could see it being a multi-year project.

I don’t know if you guys have noticed ,but I don’t know if it’s this year or they stopped doing it for a while, but I rode intimidator and the “start your engines” voice before going up the lift hill doesn’t play anymore. I don’t know if it was that day I went they didn’t play it or they stopped playing it this year,if so does that mean we might get a retheme or intimidator? The ride also needs a new paint badly because it looks pinkish. Will they wait for a new retheme/rename to go ahead and paint it? Or keep it under intimidator?

I'm hoping they redo either Celebration Plaza or Thrill Zone next. That entire corridor from Nighthawk's entrance, past the theatre, and back to Drop Tower is largely a tacky mish-mash of Paramount leftovers that hasn't been touched in any significant way for twenty plus years aside from the stage and Starbucks.

Intimidator has been pink for a few years now. (Sure isn't going to "intimidate" anyone with that color.) Even if they concentrate on Crossroads, I hope it finally gets painted this coming year.

They've only done half of Celebration plaza. (i.e. Starbucks side of the bridge.) Would be nice to see the Cinnabon side done as well.

I'm guessing the area to the right near the shops and the "tunnel" will be redone when RRR is dealt with.
