Why would the county fair need to be extended? Why would you want the entrance to the water park to be in a congested, off-beaten path? What's wrong with the current entrance? Putting the entrance pretty much 100 ft from the current parking lot water park entrance makes no sense, at least to me.

To make room for a possible future flat and not have a beach themed area mixed with a rural themed area. I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing some thrilling Zamperla flats in the near future, with the new rides at Camp Snoopy coming from Zamperla

Yes, more or less. I would hope that there be more path and some water. More like this (the white circle being the flyers)...

I like the black path but not completely surrounding the flyers pad. the black color to the left of the flyers isn't needed. just make the path on one side or the other (right side makes more of an island). Water in all that area wastes perfectly good land for future flat rides. I hope they leave the room to build...

I personally don't see a need to connect the black path to the water park until they put some water park rides along the connection to make Soak City bigger. Otherwise it just seems like more asphalt and doesn't save much (or any?) of a walk the way it is now.

Definitely not in favor of more water. Use any new space for some kind of attraction. They can add trees and fountains, but I don't need a big mosquito-filled slimy nasty lake

Also, Canada's Wonderland only filed for "Yukon Striker" in the Canadian Trademarks Database a week ago, so Carowinds could quite possibly have something up their sleeve

The name’s not guaranteed, but Copperheads are as synonymous with the Carolinas as barbecue and lung cancer, so it seems like a safe bet.

Also people kept talking about theirs being themed to a bird, and in the announcement they mentioned the eagle. Wonder if that is what is going to happen with our snakes.

It's not about extending County Fair. It's about a better flow between Crossroads and the rest of the park... ESPECIALLY County Fair.

As to the water park, you don't have to move it if you don't want to. I could take or leave the red path. I was just thinking it would open up room for another flat. Regardless of whether you move the entrance or not, keep the other path changes behind dodgems and Boo.

thank God they didn't name it that stupid "bird" name that some of the bloggers were insisting they would. Ziz/Wiz/Jiz/Fiz all the mocking names. Please don't have that be Carowinds'

Does anyone else remember this: I seem to recall that details of Intimidator at Carowinds leaked out a day early due to a NASCAR media article that was supposed to stay embargoed till the announcement? Everyone found out the night before the ceremony what the details were and coaster name ...Am I dreaming that? I seem to remember that vividly.

You do know you leave Carolina Boardwalk to enter the County Fair to ender Carolina Harbor. If anything, the county fair was misplaced. . . but that's ok. it's a theme park. it doesn't have to be geographically correct.

I think we see a lot of parks moving away from water (lakes, ponds) for decoration because it is wasting prime real estate. While having a lake in the middle of the park was cool once upon a time, its really not anymore. if i had to pick between spending money on stagnant water or more rides/upgrades . . . I would pick rides upgrades. Unless the coaster interacts with the water, yeah . . . leave it out.

All I remember is the site intimidator.carowinds.com being up early, whether they were testing it or what. It was taken down very fast.

I think this means for the second launch, the ride will be going 35mph into the launch, then it will accelerate to 50mph in 2 seconds. I don’t know, 35mph seems kind of fast going into a launch, but this is the first thing that came to mind.

So we can probably rule out "530" relating to speed. The top speed also suggests the ride won't be very tall, so I can't see the tophat element surpassing 100-105 feet.
