So, don't waste space. Put the water under the coaster like I depicted. ... and put foliage. Use theming. Be creative. I loved the old clock in the middle of the flower garden and the lake under White Lighnin'. That was cool. No space was wasted there. The lake itself extended beyond the coaster to the bridge and smurf and that took up space but the water feature doesn't have to be that big. It doesn't have to be like Anaconda. More like Manta...

I think we see a lot of parks moving away from water (lakes, ponds) for decoration because it is wasting prime real estate. While having a lake in the middle of the park was cool once upon a time, its really not anymore. if i had to pick between spending money on stagnant water or more rides/upgrades . . . I would pick rides upgrades. Unless the coaster interacts with the water, yeah . . . leave it out.
