They’ve really been pummeled by bad weather this year. I think Cedar Fair even admitted in their last conference call that this past hurricane season alone hurt them

I think Copperhead Strike will go past 1M but won’t quite hit Intimidator or Fury, it just doesn’t have the people-eating capacity those have. It’s great to see Intimidator remain so close in ridership to Fury on its ninth season, guests enjoy it. Hopefully a repaint is on the way soon and maybe Afterburn will get a bump next season with crowds making their way back to that side of the park more.

It really sucks, the past 3 days it was supposed to be open they closed, they honestly had no choice but since peak holiday season is right around the corner, this hurts them.

If you have the Carowinds app or if you're enlisted on their email blast you should get a notification.

Okay so I just finished up a night at Winterfest, and boy was it crowded. For most rides they had the little gates headed out into the midways. County fair was very overcrowded. People were starting to park in the grass and they had just opened parking up to the bus lot. Around 8:30 a woman came over the intercom announcing that the South Gate was now open for EXIT ONLY. I don’t know about you but I don’t think the South Gate has been open all Winterfest. Overall a very crowded night. The lines for rides-and to get to a few other things were unbelievable. They were definetly understaffed tonight considering at some rides they only had 1 person working at them.
