I don't recall this being mentioned.

When you go through the new wider entrance and wider bridge, you'll notice that the path narrows for the existing CinnABon and photo booth building. According to John, they wanted to 'fix' those buildings to accommodate the new wider path. However, time and budget prevented them from addressing that this year.

I think we will see changes to those buildings in the coming years.

^^I asked Steve this and he said that "We have planned for the future" and "as we expand the park we'll have to eventually make changes to this plaza area".

I figure that means they will be removed at a later remodel, but who knows.

I'm not sure if this has already been addressed, but was the building with the "season pass" sign on the original entrance plan pictures omitted from the construction? It looks like it was supposed to be either beside or connected to the far side of the curved ticket booth building. I know the existing season pass building will still be used, so I'm not sure what the purpose of the new building would have been anyways.

The new Season Pass building in the concept will not be part of the plaza. Carowinds said that the concept art for the plaza was created early so the plans weren't final.

Looking at the plans it looks like those will be lights.

If they do ever make a new season pass building, I'd think that the old one would be remodeled to be used as another maintenance building, seeing as they could use more shop-space.

It appears they may have the main braces for the bridge about ready to go in!

Considering the location, it would probably become another indoor catering and meeting space like the rose room in the back of season pass, and the former plantation house VIP room.

Photos of the old North Gate from 2014, I took most of these back in October but I could bring myself to edit them until now. The ones from the last weekend are a larger size than the others, I felt like it would be a shame to make them any smaller. Here is to remembering the back and looking ahead to the future!

I personally would've went with the concept. It just looked more cohesive to me and everything is all together concerning admissions, but who am I. Who knows it could be added later if there's a need to do so.
