Aside from painting, those slides are complete. Makes sense now to paint them while it's still nice out instead of rushing to get them finished at the end when it's still semi cold out.

^ Pics are broken in that post... i am able to get on the dropbox site with no problems though. Thanks for the pictures, havent gotten to the park for a few weeks hopefully will go in the next week or two, I will get some pictures if I can. Looks like the kids area is still in place, I wonder when they will start ripping that down and when the old wave pool will be filled in. I think it makes a lot of sense to get the slides painted and the old themeing ripped out ASAP while weather is nice etc. There is A LOT to do so obviously doing some of those things at the end really wouldn't make sense... I think they are cleaning up nicely, cant wait to see what the body slides turn out like once they are painted. Hopefully by the time I get to the park they will be done.

The kids area isn't going anywhere. its gonna be a total of 4 kids areas in that area; pirates landing, seaside splash works, kiddy hawk cove and myrtle turtle beach.

Ah ok. I wasnt sure. I hope they at least fix it.... one time I was in there and the water was squirting out of the bottom on the ground  All of the elements in that play area dont work, so I do hope they at least make it work...

Anyone know where this new 31,000 sqft warehouse is going to go? It says 2000 sqft will have office space, are they tearing down some of the existing buildings somewhere... This is interesting and something to watch for..

I know this is a bit of a weird/random thing to say, but I can't wait for Carolina Harbor to fill up Thunder Road's footprint. Seeing that dirt lot empty was one of the most depressing things I had ever seen at an amusement park. While I know Blackbeard's Revenge will be seen as an insult to some, I think it's a better alternative to seeing Thunder Road's silent footprint.

I know you're young but these things happens at theme parks almost yearly. Old things go (in some cases new things) to make way for other things. It would be prude for me to say "get use to it" oh hell . . . Get use to it! A lot of us has seen what we consider great things leave parks. From csrowinds to disney to great adventure, its gonna happen. Just be glad it was sent off in style unlike Geauga lake for example.
