General Carowinds discussion

Rides I figure are on the chopping block:
ElectroSpin - Problematic
Yo-yo - Rarely Open/Low Ridership
Scream Weaver - Low Ridership
Plants Vs Zombies - Low Ridership
Zephyr - Low Ridership
Southern Star - High Maintenance

Of that list, I could only see Yo-Yo, Scream Weaver, and/or Southern Star leaving. They’re not taking out two County Fair rides, and PvZ is a high capacity indoor attraction with low maintenance costs.

RRR would be the second you aren't sure about.

No it wouldn't.

Yeah, it's honestly a dead ride at this point. There's never a line and the entire system seems to be slowly rotting. Plastic wear and tear, worn paint, outdated graphics, a few jerky transitions, and its all based on a small game that barely anyone plays anymore. Needs to go.

Attractions I see going:
Yo-yo : let’s get real it’s about time
Boo Blasters: while yes it’s a very popular attraction, but if carowinds isn’t wanting to maintain it (which they haven’t so far this year) then they might scrap it
Southern Star : I know they repainted some restraints in the off season but the ride feels like it’s dying and isn’t as popular as it used to be. Maybe a relocation is possible.
I don’t see plants vs zombies going...if it does I don’t think carowinds is going to get rid of the building.
I wouldn’t be surprised if any obviously run down attractions aren’t removed and a semi popular one is.
I have a feeling we could see antique cars come to the park sometime in the next few years.

You're the one who told us earlier in the year to count out a refurb. Are you changing your opinion now?

RRR is already "gone". Thus it cant be one that might be going.

I came back and said that, in my speculative opinion, it is indeed a goner.

I guess my point is that RRR isn't "officially" gone. Sure, it's off the map, but it hasn't been announced. That's why I feel it's one of the two the management person said was leaving.

Actually, RRR isn’t even technically “gone” yet. It’s closed, but the rafts and troughs are still there. So it would make sense that it would be the other attraction leaving.
