The last building for the model is now finished!

Next will be the two landscape sections, and an extra surprise (nothing special really).

Also, I'll be going to the hospital today in Eden. I think it's just sun-poisoning, but I want to make sure that it's nothing serious. I'm hoping to be finished with the model in about a week and a half (give or take a few days)
I love our new smilie, haha: :sarcasm:

No, they are not too heavy, however I made a few construction mistakes whist creating those landscapes which I will avoid for the last two sections. The heaviest part is the 3/8" wood on the bottom. I'm not exactly sure how heavy the entire model is, but I made it to be lightweight. I have already started on the third and fourth sections today. The landscape is flat on these two (other than the railroad and bridge) so it should be much easier to construct.

Been a long night...

as you can see, I've decided to go with the original courtyard pavement style (also to match what I have in front of the metal detectors) With the central fountain, concrete (instead of brick pavers), four trees (instead of two), yellow state line, and white concrete strips in a diamond pattern.

Morning everyone. All I got done last night was the curved structures on either side of the Plantation house.
Now I'll start on the central courtyard.

This is really cool, man. I went down to the park for a little bit today on a whim and had completely forgotten they had re done the whole entrance and everything. Me and my friend got there and were like "Wait......what is all this!?!?"

Definitely cool to see such a good looking model of the entrance that we all grew up walking through every summer. Keep up the good work my man.

I"ve spent nearly 30 hours working last night into today. Time for bed. But here's an update...
I chose the original style courtyard because 1) it matches the style I chose in front of the metal detectors and 2) the concrete makes the buildings stand out much better than the brick pavers and 3) this was easier to create.

Didn't get much done today. I just added more white lines, added the square planters. The fountain is in progress (I must wait for the water effects to fully cure first). And I added all three light poles.

Hey Amos! I haven't checked in on this in a while, but it's really looking great! I really want to let you know how proud you should be of yourself not only for the quality of your work, but your relentless dedication to finish such an involved project! Keep it up man, a passion like yours shouldn't be wasted!
