General Carowinds discussion

I just don't see it being a section name. Has anyone ever bought a T-shirt with "Carolina RFD" on it? It's safe to say 2016 will be a predominantly water park year and that's what Carolina Harbor will be used for. County Fair will probably keep its name and theme. Also, Ouimet said no Triotech dark rides are being planned for 2016.

Yes I guess I should have said for a future Triotech dark ride. I wasn't necessarily referring to a dark ride next year in 2016. Also I do doubt county fair being renamed to Carolina Harbor due to the simple fact that I feel like there is no reason to trademark a themed section of the park.

But if they are trying to give Carowinds back its Carolina charm then we may see the theming in some areas of the park get better. I would be happy if every area of the park was on par with the theming of the Carolina Boardwalk. That is by far the best themed area at Carowinds.

I would not get your hopes up. they may be able to squeeze one in where DA is. Learn to love hurler.

I agree with uscbandfan about needing a large woodie. I feel like Cedar Fair needs to get their own RMC-type of company, but with wooden tracks. Repairing woodies that nobody likes. Gravity Group or GCI maybe? The Hurlers and Mean Streak could benefit greatly from something like that, I don't think retracking is helping them much. Just an idea.

Southern star fits perfectly with the harbor theme and with Coasterbruh's hint (if it was a hint at all) of "flat" land I think we may see some added flats in that area, of course pending the removal or movement of the yo-yo and bumper cars because if Action Theater isn't removed there isn't that much space in that area to expand.

Here is some bad art that I tried to dream up:

This isn't a bad idea! If they spruce up County Fair, then everything else seems to fall into place.

In the universal underground color code, white marks proposed excavation. This could be the perimeter of an area that will be excavated or it could be a line that will be excavated. Or white could mean it was the nearest can of paint. Or, knowing there would be enthusiast tours, someone wanted to have a little fun with us. :)

Speculation only, take with a grain of salt. So I'm hearing almost every time I'm in the park that Sidewinder could be relocated to the other side of the water park and the great barrier reef wave pool may say bye bye as well, but yea a grain of salt. If true that is a great plot of land for a tornado slide, mat racer or some wild and crazy type slide complex.
