I just had a idea. What if the new coaster gate is about 20 or 30 feet in front of the plantation house. You would walk through the admission, then walk through the plantation house which has been redesigned as a small museum. I like the idea of the the new gate behind the plantation house museum better, but I don't think there is enough room for that.

Centurion is in no way a "robot" name.

Its pronounced differently than it looks.
Like "century-anne". Not robotic whatsoever.

As far as the entrance, If it is a giant wing coaster, strange as it sounds, then I most definitely can see it being very similar to Cedar Point's.

No. I've never seen it. I'm aware of what it is, but not my taste at all. Lol.

Still sounds nothing like a robot, when pronounced the right way. :p

I was gonna say tie the plantation house to the civil war time period and make it like the coaster guards the plantation from the union army. Most likely this theme would end being taboo, but the plantation house is a leftover from the park's theme park days. Why not find away to tell a semi-historical story out it with the new coaster.

Universal and Disney rides tell a story...
Paramount Parks rides were themed after a movie.
Busch Gardens rides are somewhere between Disney and Paramount Parks...
If Paramount Parks had spent alittle more money, they would have been closer to the former which would have drawn more attendance. Too many parks, too small budgets and no year-round parks...
Not that Paramount Parks did a bad job, cause they kept the parks in the black for 16 seasons but the rides were loosely themed after their respective movies. In some cases, the concept ended up being far from reality (Italian Job).

your right, Cedar Fair should put all their money into story lines of rides and not innovation. Thats what people want. They dont goto parks because they have a 300 foot launch giga coaster, they go because the story around that coaster involves a little girl and her lost puppy. cmon people. Go ask the Nascar Hall of Fame how much "stories" bring in attendance.

If the plantation house is demolished, whatever is on the top floor should be preserved. If there is a painting of E. Patt Hall up there, it should defiantly be saved and possibly hung in the new entrance.

How many things Nascar have lasted?
Nascar Cafe
Nascar Store
Nascar Speedpark (Mills Malls)
Nascar has found that off the track, the drunks dont come in big numbers.

I'm surprised how much the "Centurion" name took off on here...I was just browsing around on KI Central when I saw that, and one or two posters thought it might be for us.
