I wonder how many $4 "samples" you would need to buy if you liked it and actually wanted to make a meal out of it? 4-6 for some stew? since this food will only be sold in the small "samples"....

Hi Jonathon,

Can you please help me understand your objection to what you are calling "double or triple posting"? The posts I made that you left that comment after were unrelated but happened to be in the same thread... they were made when I discovered or thought of a different subject.

Would you prefer we wait until someone else posts before we post again in the same thread... or wait xx number of minutes, or keep editing the first post we made and make it exceedingly long with unrelated subjects?

My suggestion is if you're the last person to post and you have another thought, perhaps editing your last post to include that. Not trying to be a mod, just offering a suggestion :-).

Private messaging or emailing multiple members of this site the same message is not allowed. Double posting is also not allowed; there is an Edit button on your post that will allow you to modify its contents at any time. Posting solely to increase your post count is frowned upon, and an easy way to lose the respect of fellow board members. Before you post, consider whether your post will contribute to the discussion. Short responses that do not add anything of value are considered spam.

You made 3 posts in a row in less than 30 minutes. Generally I think double posting is probably okay if it's been a long time since the last post and the thread is no longer high up in the topics list, but this kind of steam of consciousness posting of random thoughts and images is just causing clutter. Use the edit button.

Planning to go tomorrow. Would enjoy seeing Damaris Phillips demo. I love the Disney Food and Wine Festival, and hope this event expands in the future. Could really use a Cosmo Slush in France...

Pretty smart setup. Without getting into pricing or details, here’s the geography. Ticket booths are located in both sections and can be purchased online.

The North Carolina booths are by Cobra.

The South Carolina booths are by Harmony Hall.

Bon appétit. Or as some of us say, yawl come and git it!

Sitting at Cracker Barrel this morning, at about 8:30 this morning the parking lot already has cars in it. Carowinds.com says the park opens at 10. The webcam has a mass of people in North Gate, looks like an event in the Paladium. Is that part of Taste of the Carolinas?

Went today and NO ONE was buying food from any of the booths. We tried the strawberry flan with wild berry glaze. I thought it was good, but my husband said it tasted like strawberry yogurt. Wasn't worth $4, maybe there should be different prices according to the item. Also, since people have purchased dining plans, maybe they could offer 2-3 samples in place of a meal. I would have liked to try more items, but just couldn't justify it with the meal plan.

Damaris Phillips did a great job with her demo, and I enjoyed meeting her. She is just as sweet in person as she is on tv.

I love this concept, and hope they tweek it some to make it work.

As a side note, I saw the dentists from Amazing Race at Harmony Hall today eating. They seemed very nice. That was kinda' cool! Took me a minute to figure out where I had seen them before.

So was the $4 for one item at each booth or a sample of everything? I never seen anyone purchase anything all day. Most of the cash registers weren't even staffed. I wasn't brave enough to try anything, I stuck to my Chicken Cheesesteak at C&P!
