Well I was going to say Ricochet too, but I realized if going along with hurricanes and storms the wind gust can ricochet debris everywhere. So yes that does leave the question how does goldrusher fit in the boardwalk?

I think the thought process for Ricochet was that small compact coasters are common at beachside amusement parks (a la the now defunct Pavilion and Family Kingdom). Oddly enough, Family Kingdom now was a mouse coaster and Myrtle Beach built a boardwalk, life initating Carowinds; lol.

I've actually been told here that "RFD" stands for "rural free delivery" (an old US postal service program). The idea simply being that it's a rural area. I still don't know the answer, but the spin-off of The Andy Griffith Show was called "Mayberry RFD" and it was described as rural free delivery.

There's no question the theming leaves something to be desired throughout the park. I think that's a symptom of the different owners over the years having different ideas for its future.

So here's an idea that may or may not be to popular...bring in Time Machine from the coast and place it at south gate in the parking lot. Give it a name with Lightnin in it, and then we would have thunder and lightnin together again. This would close down the parking lot headed back towards the old Ocean Island entrance which would still allow water park expansion all the way up to that point. Just a thought.

After being on the coaster, I think that land would do better as all water park expansions...good coaster but to me, too "off the shelf" to sacrifice the prime real estate it would be sitting on.

We'll now that I think about it, I would trust the safty of windseeker more than I would that other one. If the ride got stuck, I would trust a reinforced steel pipe more than I would a couple of small chains anyday.

I had a dream. And the dream was a huge wooden roller coaster built in the woods behind hurler. The roller coaster was literally in the woods, and there were barley any trees removed. I remember crossing a creek of a river or something. Now that I am awake, I know something like that would never happen. For one, I don't think Carowinds ownes that land, for two I highly dought a coaster would be placed literally in the woods without clearing land. But it was a nice dream though.

I'm not sure how likely this is but I wish that Carowinds would take out the action theatre and the Yo Yo and put in a flat ride like Cedar Points Max Air. Other than Windseeker, Southern Star, And Drop Zone Carowinds really lacks a good flat ride in my opinion.

I would like to see that Time Machine coaster moved to Carowinds rather than waste away unused down at Myrtle Beach. I only rode it once and I really liked it. It is a shame for it to sit there going to waste. And since it is already white, that White Lightnin themeing would be great to return to Carowinds.

YoYo isn't going anywhere, it takes up very little space and hasn't been at the park too long. The Action Theater on the other hand is a complete waste of space and is rarely open now. Maybe if we're lucky, we'll see this in it's place within a few years.
