General Carowinds discussion

As if Carowinds would just let one half of the park rot without incentives. Great little added bonus of straddling two states; they get to make the two fight each other over which taxpayers will give more subsidy to Cedar Fair.

I'm not generally a fan of a like button. However, this is the one time it would have come in handy, although I would only be allowed to like it one time.

I was kind of surprised to see the price tag for next year's additions being $25 million, but I do assume that it includes everything that they are doing for 2016. We know today's media isn't as good as they used to be on deep fact checking, since they are competing with social media, and everybody being a 'reporter.' Like Jarsh said, I also expect a quick ROI on next year's additions and improvements.

I am most excited to see what Carowinds is going to look like in five years. :!:

To me it looks like it was moved.... Not sure though it wasnt like this last week when it was turned. I wish they would load up cam 2 again, preferably closer to carolina harbor or maybe following PvZ progress....

Not only two states but two counties, and possibly two cities as well. Most parks don't have that many potential revenue sources. Of course Cedar Fair is going to favor a park where they are receiving local dollars. Previous Carowinds owners did this, but in this environment where local incentives are expected by most companies expanding, Cedar Fair is really taking advantage of it.

Stopped by the park and got some pictures. The new paint looks nice.

Dont be so quick to lose hope. Here is an area of that area.

Doesn't seem the area is "ideal" for it.

It's just going to be a new warehouse.
30,100 square foot.
