I think we can see a Planet Snoopy Family Ride expansion, MAYBE a new water park feature and possibly a new amenity along the lines of a Hotel?

If Carowinds is just now petitioning to get that land rezoned, I wouldn't expect a hotel announcement until 2019-2020. No matter which way you look at it, one won't be opening until the 20s.

Good Point, Never thought about that.

Most non-controversial rezoning decisions are made at the meeting the month after the petition is heard. Carowinds will likely get this rezoning confirmed next month.

Does anyone think something will be developed on the WWF plot for the 2018 season? I would hope for something water related or a compact launch coaster when they do eventually put the plot to use.

I was thinking about that. I was thinking either a new waterslide expansion or a B&M winged coaster if you took out SDL, but probably not for a few more years.

^^

Now that's very interesting. I'm guessing just the carousel relocation and maybe some extra bits of tlc. I'll be surprised if they pull another county fair and do a complete overhaul on the area (not that I wouldn't welcome it)

I still wouldn't count snoopy out yet.

Does anyone know when / if they are going to start a teaser campaign. I hate to say it, But if it were anything big for 2018 I have a feeling they would've already started it.

Maybe a giant gateway arch linking NC and the hotel and SC and the Carowinds side. Like a Willy Wonka glass elevator observation deck thingy.

Hence why all I'm expecting is the carousel relocation and snoop town upgrades.

Well it is about time Charlotte gets some sort of observation tower...

I don't expect anything huge, Maybe a new feature in the water park and a planet snoopy expansion. But, Cedar Fair always hints that they have big things in store for Carowinds since it's one of their few parks that aren't land locked and are doing successful but then they don't really do anything about it, At least in my opinion.

Carowinds has a lot of potential, It is in one of the fastest growing cities in America (Charlotte), It has a decent coaster and flat ride line up, A great Water Park, And the Transportation to supply a big crowd (CATS Transportation, CLT International, Shuttles from Hotels). And not to mention all the other tourist attractions in and near the Charlotte area. Carowinds could become the Cedar Point of the southeast but if Cedar Fair doesn't realize how much potential this park has then they are going to miss out. (Don't get me wrong I am VERY appreciative of what they have done I just think they could do more.)
