Hahaha...I highly doubt people flock to busch gardens for the "scenic views". At both parks the only way to see those "scenic (read; BGW=a bunch of trees, BGT=the ghetto) views is if you are over 54 inches tall and like roller coasters and thrill rides.

So if Busch Gardens decided to eliminate its landscaping budget, you don't believe that would have any long term impact on their revenue?

Im under the impression when the poster says "scenic view" they are implying the area as seen from up top...and im basing that on the fact that they posted a picture atop griffon as apposed to a picture crossing the rhine river looking towards loch ness...

I assumed he was just being a smart *** by cherry picking one of the only places in the park that doesn't look nice (looking out at the brewery from the top of Griffon).

Where did you find the posters?

There is zero chance of a roller coaster of any type being at Carowinds front gate, as long as the front gate is adjacent to the Palladium amphitheater. Maybe they'll move it farther away, but no way, as others have posted, will they have concerts with the noise of a coaster interrupting the music every 90 seconds, even though concerts might be at most once a week for a few hours.
The only reason Cedar Point's gatekeeper coaster works at their front gate is they have no concert amphitheater. I"ve been there, check the maps, it's all rides up front. It's on a narrow peninsula that is already crowded with the amusement park, their separate entrance water park, and a campground. There is no separate ticket concert venue there. The front entrance was all rides, they removed a couple to put in Gatekeeper, but Carowinds is completely different.
There is no wide plaza for Carowinds after you enter the way Kings Island, Kings Dominion, and Cedar Fair have. It's a crowded jumble once you enter Carowinds and the goal is to just get over the bridge and avoid the aggressive photographers.
I"d love to see the coaster somewhere visible in front but trust me, it WON'T be anywhere close to the concerts. If anything, I'd rather see them move all the entrance facilities out away from the crowded fountain and bridge to make a bigger deal out of the entrance (bigger fountains, more landscaping, etc.)

In what world does a roller coaster interrupt a concert? The average rock concert has sound at about 120 decibels, which is similar to a jet engine. Where I live now there's a popular concert venue in a bowling alley. Seems to work fine. Also, you know the Paladium has a back side to it, right? Behind the stage. It's a giant wall.

A lot of people here seem extremely confident in statements that are based on shakey speculation. So far you might have the best candidate for "post to quote a year from now."

Once a week concerts? They use the venue for concerts, what, one weekend a year for the Christian rock festival, right?

I 100% disagree with this. As everyone has stated above, how in the world would a coaster affect a concert? I think its very likely the coaster WILL interact in someway with the new entrance in 2015. Don't know where you are getting this "0%" chance from, but unless you know this for a fact, I don't believe it. I think there is a 90% chance it WILL interact in someway, whether its right beside the entrance, fly's over it, or anything of that sort, it will come near it and it doesn't matter about the amphitheater, because again as stated above, its NOT used every weekend and is not used often at all, I think the Christian concert and they have those band competitions or whatever.

I do not believe anything you just said. Maybe the ride won't go to the EXACT front gate. Who knows, maybe it will go out into the parking lot while people walk by to enter the park. I don't really see a need for the Paladium as it is not used as much. SFOG tore down their amphitheater. Besides, there are other entertainment venues in the park. The Plaza Stage, Carowinds Theater and Peanuts Showplace are all used significantly more than the Paladium. I say tear it down. A better place for a concert would be the Plaza Stage. The park could keep guest after hours in the plaza to see the concert.
