General Carowinds discussion

I was thinking that it might be for Cam and a friend or family member, but I'm also curious what the max height is for Fury 325. Many of the big attractions at parks also have a max height restriction, and it tends to be around 76 or 78 inches. With Cam supposedly being around 6' 5", that puts him at 77 inches - close to potential max height issues. I'm sure that he fits within the allowed range, and I'm sure that he would be able to ride, but I just wanted to bring that up as well (moreover, it was an interesting side note for me when CP announced that it would rename a coaster for Lebron - that would have been interesting if they selected a ride that, in theory, would have a max height restriction that would prohibit him from enjoying it... but, back on track...).

Still, the primary concern is that I'd like to see Max's seat on the front row, and I'd hate to see someone using that "reserved please do not bid" technique just to lock in a seat on that row. Hopefully, Carowinds will confirm that this reservation is in fact legit and for park use and not a scam by a potential rider.

I call shenanigans! If it was the park...would you think they would still leave it open and active for bidding? They wouldn't even included the first row in the auction if that were the case!

That was also my thought since the park is the one who added these seats to the auction. They could have made it 94 or 92 seats if needed!

That 'Reserved Do Not Bid' is obviously someone trying to get people to not bid. I'm not a fan of snitches but in this case, I think someone needs to contact Mike (or someone else at Carowinds). This 'buyer' needs to be blocked ASAP. That is a pretty shady tactic to pull when it comes to charity money.

lol I just realized what you guys were talking about. I had assumed it was actually reserved but I just looked at it for the first time. Poor effort from someone.

Well, I'm sure the park/charity could go in there and manually change the name shown to the actual name of the person or send that person an email telling him/her that they have 24 hours to correct the name on the site before

I just sent a tweet from @Coaster_Addict to inquire. My goal is not to tattle on somebody but rather to just get clarification!

By the way, my opinion is we go for first train, first row.

His seat needs to be the first on the first train.

Just my opinion. Part of me knows how horrified Max would be if he knew just how bent out of shape we all are about this. Lol

Well for one thing it says "Reserved Please Do Not Bid". It could be that Radio Station is bidding and going to give away the tickets, an employer that is going to reward one of their employees, etc.
I can think of several reasons....

Roller you just love to be against the grain don't you...Please stop trying to rationalize f*ckery and see it for what it is. If the park wanted to keep some seats un-bidable...they would be un-bidable. Why would a radio station be bidding to give away tickets? Im sure the park gives radio stations tickets...as a matter of fact I KNOW the park gives stations tickets as give-a-ways to promote the park.

If someone wanted to remain anonymous, they could come up with a myriad of code names to use. "Reserved please do not bid" is not a code name. It's shady. Period.
