I certainly hope they're planning some trees SOMEWHERE in that big circle area. (Maybe some gigantic pots with trees or something.) Can you imagine how hot that area is gonna be with all that concrete during August afternoons?

It won't be all concrete, the inner circle they are working on now will probably be pavers.

The plans show trees to be planted in the "green areas" and in those two landscape areas in the circle. I am sure they are going to make it look nice. Maybe some nice climbing vines on some of those arbors also?

How much time do you think people are going to be hanging out there? I think that will be a quick pass through area on the way into the park.

I imagine there will be a fair amount of hanging out there. People meeting up before going in. Taking pictures. Saying goodbye before heading out.

There will also be several trees in the large space between the actual entrance plaza and Fury itself (and probably plenty of other around the outside of the plaza too)... in case anyone was wondering.

I think that really looked cool and highlighted the whole "planers making a circle" thing they were going for.

Looks like its been changed some since the animation. In the animation, the large planter next to the Palladium comes all the way around to the path that follows the state line. In reality, it looks like it stops about 10 degrees or more short of there. They could still add a smaller one on the other side. I think it would look good if they did.

Great interview with Jerry Helms on WRHI in Rock Hill today. Some Pointers-
-He mentioned phase one is $50 million. So maybe this 3 year $50 million plan is just a phase of a much higher dollar plan.
-Big Brass Band returning to the park after many years
-Other atmospheric characters will be returning.
-The park will be open on March 27th, for just Season Pass Holders for a 2015 preview day. Press release to be issued Monday.

^^Yes, I saw this on webcam 1 before they zoomed it out. Steve said that the locker plaza will be right there under the turn into the station. That way, as you exit the ride, you can make a left and go to your locker (If you bought one). And just like Intimidator's exit, you will have the option to either enter the gift shop, or just go around to the lockers.
