The people over there were determined to hate this ride as soon as they saw that B&M was designing it. They're all forgetting the most important thing: is it fun?

Robb Alvey IP banned me for calling out someone who called the ride "forceless" when they haven't even ridden the ride. Everyone, do not associate yourselves with this site! (And of course, Robb allowed all of the negative comments about the ride to stay. Typical.)

You did nothing to deserve a ban. He has since deleted his reply to you but it was the most absurd thing ever. He said Intamin having to replace track on I305 is normal because "do you know how many coasters have had track replaced?!!!!!1111one" One big problem with that Robb, they didn't just have the track replaced. They had to totally redesign the ride. And what is his love for exclamation points?

Is he forgetting that Maverick also had to be modified because of excessive g's?

Anyway, I rode Fury twice more today, and still stand by what I said. This coaster is a masterpiece. It is a ride that you can truly enjoy every second of, unlike many Intamin coasters, and that's what pushes this above Intimidator 305 for me. It makes Millennium Force seem boring, but is comfortable as well. This makes it a world class coaster, at least for most.

When I first saw Rob on a video pov he did for I305 and he said at the end "sorry millennium force but this ride craps all over you", just something about him comes off as arrogant to me, and after reading what other people have to say, I guess I was right. I can't understand how anyone could POSSIBLY prefer intaimin over B&M, especially when it comes to the far superior B&M trains! I read on a youtube comment one coaster girl say she refuses to ride anything Intamin because she doesn't trust their engineering. That being said, I liked MF, but I hoenstly had more fun on Magnum! Perhaps Intamin should design their trains similar to B&M, then they may be better to me.

i really like intamin but i agree. This fanboy stuff is insane and robb is a lunatic. they both make good rides ane people like diffrent stuff. I perfer b&m but we could use an intamin imo as well. sorry for spelling errors.

You REALLY don't wanna go there !!! It's reeks of "unless you have HUNDREDS of different coasters under your belt, then you aren't entitled to any opinion of coasters on this site (unless you agree with the BIG GUNS here and their opinions)..... in fact, if you enjoy B&M coasters at all, then you are just plain ignorant of what a GREAT coaster is."

That's just my 2 cents about how I feel when I go over there.... I feel real dirty when I leave TRP. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

I got banned from TPR for seeking clarification from Robb today. I posted a review which basically said that my first ride on preview night was on next to the back row and I was stapled in and I was a little dissapointed. However, my second ride (night ride) where I wasn't stapled in and was on the front row was fantastic and was up there with the best rides I have ridden (I305, El Toro, Nitro, Kingda Ka, etc.). I said that people should ride on multiple parts of the ride before they post a review because the experiences can be so different.

Robb replied to my post that that was a stupid opinion. When I asked him why he thought it was a stupid opinion in a post I got banned.

So after 3 posts at TRP (only time I ever posted there was today) which were basically what I said above I got banned. In other words, don't go to that site to express your opinions because you will get banned and definitely do not challenge Robb or disagree with him as it will result in a permanent IP ban.

I should go on TPR and say I have been on every coaster in existence and then say Fury is my number one and see what Rob says to that!

Also, when I heard B&M was coming out and designing the ride, I was a bit disappointed. As you can see in my signature, I LOVE Intamin rides. B&M have not been my cup of tea, or at least their newer coaaters. They are far from forceless like the TPR people say, but I don't really like the feel. Maverick was my number one prior to Fury and did not think B&M could even come close to beating MF and Maverick but they did. I was not expecting too, too much from the ride, but I was completely blown away when I got off! I would have never though In a million years B&M would beat out my beloved Intamins, but they did! The airtime on the ride is great, the G's are fantastic, those little pops of air on transitions are wonderful and that flawless turnaround is one of the best coaster elements EVER created. It's not without flaws but I think it's the closest we are going to get to perfect for quite some time.

The only time they tried that was with Skyrush's restraints, which coincidentally are a complete disaster. The last time that Intamin built what I would consider a good restraint system were with Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force. Also notice that those are the only two coasters in America that still use the T-Bar restraint system as they were originally installed. Unfortunately, I can pretty safely say that you'll never see those restraints again on an Intamin coaster in the US because of liability issues.

Intamin trains and restraints - other than TTD & MF - suck. Name the coaster - Bizarro, the Rides of Steel, Cheetah Hunt, I305, Skyrush, El Toro, Maverick - they're all lousy. Intamin's current restraint philosophy seems to be to put an inordinate amount of pressure on a very small area on your upper thighs. It does restrain you, but it is VERY uncomfortable in every circumstance when you're being forced into it via airtime. They tried to fix this problem on Skyrush, but they got the lap bar design wrong as it only restrains you on a very small area of your legs. B&M figured out a long time ago that you have to spread out the force over a larger area, which is the real brilliance of their lap bar designs.

The other thing that Intamin could learn is how to get people in and out of their trains much better. Think about this - all of the B&M coasters built in the US since Nitro in 2001 only require you to board by positioning yourself up into your seat. There's no side of the train to navigate over or tight spaces to try and squeeze in (anyone who's ridden on I305 can attest to this). It's much more accommodating to all riders and it also helps with capacity because everyone can get in and out much easier. These are small things but they all add up to a much more pleasant riding experience.

You will most likely get banned for not fluffing Intamin.

I have around 75 credits but I definitely put Fury in my top 5. It is hard for me to pick a favorite as they are so different.

Skyrush, El Toro, Fury 325, Nitro, and I305.

^^Unless you have stuff in your pockets and you get stapled by the ride op. My last two rides on Fury were somewhat uncomfortable because of this. It created a lot of pressure on my thighs, but it's still a great ride nonetheless.

I just don't get the Coke vs. Pepsi or Ford vs. Chevy fanboy thing going on with Intamin vs. B&M. Just because you prefer one, it doesn't mean you CAN'T like the other. Why shut yourself off from even considering liking any B&M coaster just because you're sworn some unholy allegiance to Intamin? Or vice versa?

I bet if you blindfolded Robb and his goons, put them on Fury 325, and told them they were on a brand new Intamin giga, they would have sworn it was the greatest coaster ever to grace the Earth.

Both companies make enjoyable coasters. So just enjoy them.

For the record, my #1 had been Maverick. But now it's been passed by Fury 325. I love both of those rides and don't give a crap who made them.
