Only going toss this out one time but what if the "big splash" was the announcement of Thunder Road's removal. "Big Splash" = Reaction to the announcement....

Cause it has caused one of hell of a reaction.

Again, not that this means anything for us but today another RMC rumor surrounding a Cedar Fair park has surfaced. This time being GhostRider out at Knott's getting topper track. It's starting to look more like the time has come for RMC and CF to finally start working together. I'm sure we all wish they could transform Thunder Road in 2016 but that isn't what the people in the know seem to be hinting at.

Okay, so I'm now convinced the ride will be some type of water coaster. Think about it: why would the park close TR so early for a water park expansion? Work on Dorsal Fin Drop and Surfer's Swell didn't start until early 2014. If they are adding a water coaster, they'll want to clear out the area pretty soon so that they can start footer work. I'm still pretty bummed about Thunder Road leaving, but in exciting to see what we get in 2016! Hopefully it's a worthy successor.

Did your sources give you an idea what may be replacing Thunder Road? I know you have been right before. Of course you may not be able to say anything yet. But I hope it is something folks will be pleased with when it is all said and done.
