When I was at the park this Wednesday, I remember seeing orange markings by Snoopy's Junction. While I seriously doubt we're getting a log flume, it made me wonder if they were going to re-orient the train to try and fit some stuff back there. And with the Camp Snoopy bathhouse permit, I'm wondering if that section will be home to some sort of Splash-Playground.

I doubt it, the Bathhouse permit probably just refers to the baby center between Carousel and Woodstock. Cedar Fair removed the water play things at the other Paramount Parks.

Like I said before, a bath house and baby care facility are NOT the same thing. True, they did remove them but the Cedar fair of today know the heat plus water plus kids equals money.

I'm not saying it's going to happen but I would love to see a Splash-Playground of some sort. I know the ones at Dollywood are a big hit with the kids.

Adding a splash pad or water activity to Planet Snoopy still wouldn't require the addition of a changing room or bathhouse unless the bathhouse refers to a pumphouse for the attraction but then it would more than like say pumphouse.

I think the bath house permit is sadly just a permit for a renovation of the bathrooms. However I think a water attraction would be a great addition to planet snoopy.

The key word here is the water park. Not everyone wants to go to the water park. If you are already in an area geared for kids why not?

It would if people don't want their kids walking around in wet clothes and things. Before becoming a full water park, SFoG had only a water playground and it had, gasp a bathhouse!

tarheel1231 wrote:If it was a pumphouse, wouldn't they have to legally file it as one?

Exactly . . .

There is a permit for the bathrooms.

Why is it so hard for you all to believe the bathhouse permit is for a BATHHOUSE?!?!? Do you know how excited for parents who don't want the hustle and bustle of the water park would be about a water area for their kids and a place to properly change their clothes outside of a bathroom? And one thing we are forgetting is the water park is seasonal. Meaning it's only from may till basically the end of august. It is still warm starting in april through september. You can still have an activity play/pad still open during the times the water park isn't available.

Or perhaps it could be just one permit for demolition of the current restrooms and the other is for . . . I dunno, maybe a new 1,879 SF restroom facility :shh: :silent: ????

At any rate, we will find out in a month or so . . .

Does the Magic Kingdom have a bath house at the Casey Junior Circus Train?

Does Carowinds want kids and adults running around Planet Snoopy in their swimsuits?

Carowinds opened without a water ride this season until May, Saturator operated without water when the waterpark was closed most of the time. I believe there was one season that Saturator didn't even open at all until the waterpark opened.

There used to be changing rooms for little kids in the baby care center.

Furthermore the screenshots were posted without a source link, I checked the York County site, Mecklenburg County and the Acela Citizen Access site; I didn't find these projects or permits. Not trying to knock the Original Poster but a source link would be helpful.

^ People are running around the entire park dressed in not much more than what you would wear to the pool anyway. Heck, I've just thrown on a shirt and water shoes and walked from the wavepool to RRR before. I've seen people wear less.

https://maps2.yorkcountygov.com/ez/

Search for Carowinds under road name. Choose any of the addresses and click on the map when the link opens up. Under layers make sure plan tracking projects are turned on. Move the map until you find Carowinds and click on Carowinds. It should turn yellow and give you a little pop up that lists around 40 pages. Click through those pages anf you will find the three so far planned tracking projects listed for 2017. The two Camp Snoopy ones and another listed as Defex maze.
