Not sure if that's part of the finished ride or not, perhaps it is some sort of test device for the cable motors or maybe even for tensioning but according to all the videos/renerings I've seen all of the parts that make up the carousel portion of the ride are red.

Perhaps one of the locals at the 4 other parks could explain to us what it is we're seeing here?

I dont know what it is, but on another note, they have the site lit up with some lights... Maybe they are going to start staying a little later to get everything done to start testing, not sure how many hours of testing they have to do but still looks like a lot to be done...

If you look at the spot where the "UFO" was sitting when it was on the ground, you will see a circle looking thing.........it could be the thing that is attached to the arms of the seats, but then again.......it's dark

Looks like they are really pushing to get finished, they are working today.... I am curious to know just how much they have to do before they can start attatching the arms/seats etc. Does anyone know if the seats have arrived on site yet?

I don't know about Carowinds but KD has had their seats on site for a while now.

I'm wondering if that ring is what will carry the drive tires that rote the carousel assembly?the drive tires are supposedly located under the carousel that the arms are attatched to but I can't be sure since I didn't pay close attention to the construction process of the previous windseeker installations for the 2011 season.

Wow they got er' done quick then I guess. I am thinking that the seats at Carowinds will probaly be done in another 2 weeks or so, but it seems like they have been working late and weekends so maybe it will be sooner.

Went by the park today and it looks like the gray ring is what the workers use to go up and down the tower to do work. Did not see any other parts on site yet. I'll post pics later.

if you look at other windseeker photos the silver ring that the workers have been using looks to be what carries the whole swing up. look at this photo and you will see the silver ring.

Also if you look at the webcam you can see they are starting to assemble the swing.
