Did you check recently? Every time I go, they've always got plenty in stock. The one I have (the medium one) cost around $17.99. I also bought the small keychain hornet plushie for around $7.99 or so. If they're not in stock, just call park merchandising. I don't have their number directly, but you can call customer service and they'll direct you to it.

But I am going to assume that Carowinds has set an attendance record this year. If Fury has given 1.5 million riders then you know the attendance has to be high because everyone who has came to the park this season hasn't rode Fury! I feel that we could be in the 2.3 to 2.8 million guest range which I'm sure is an attendance record and most likely puts Carowinds on par to be equal with Kings Island in the future.

No chance.

There is a big chance it will hit it! Its not counting each person who rides it, it is counting how many time it gives a ride. I know several of us here have logged over 100 rides so far, and the park still has SCarowinds to go thru and a lot of those people probably haven't event done the regular day time park so there a great opportunity of new riders.

I'm going to bring math into this.

  • There are 21 days left. A bunch of those are only night time operation, so we'll round this 21 days down to 20 days for the sake of easy math.
  • I don't remember how many days are in the operating schedule, but again; For the sake of easy math, we'll say 120.
  • There is 1/6 of the operating schedule left. In the previous 5/6 of the year, Fury 325 averaged 300,000 riders per 20 days.
  • They have to increase that by 67% in the 21 days remaining, with some of those being nights only.
I just don't see it.

For 120 of perfect operations, a total of 2.2 million riders are possible based on an average of 12 hours per day.
1.5 million rides is amazing in 5 months, that is around double of what Hurler can do in a season.

Actually . . . all of those 21 days are open until at least 530 pm and after that its scarowinds for most of those days. So yeah . . . its still possible

Besides, we don't know when they reached that 1.5 million.

Seems that Fury 325 was closed for "unscheduled maintenance" today (based on webcams and Twitter). Anybody know what's up, and if it will be fixed by tomorrow? We already have tickets and fast passes purchased for tomorrow, and already fueled up for the 5 hour drive. Seems that the "no refund" policy could be screwing me :(
