Pretty nice logo for Afterburn. I guess that one is somewhat official now, since it's on the site - although I wouldn't be completely surprised if they changed it again.

Now, for the potentially bad news - KI's Drop Zone is now shown on their website named....Drop Tower. I thought this was a joke when I saw it posted elsewhere, but no, there it is. I hope "Drop Tower" is merely a placeholder until they figure out something better.

Cedar Fair giveth, and Cedar Fair taketh away......

They should keep it Drop Zone.

I don't understand why they feel the need to change the name of everything.

Thrill Rides
Afterburn

Introduced to the park in 1999 at a cost of more than $10 million, Afterburn was the largest investment in park history at that time. Today, as the park’s fastest rollercoaster, Afterburn ranks as one of the top 30 steel coasters in the world!

Weighing in at more than 2.2 million pounds, the 113-foot tall coaster was built by the renowned Swiss-based coaster manufacturer Bolliger and Mabillard (B&M).  Best known for its blinding speeds—up to 62 mph—Flight Deck also is distinguished by its inverted construction.  With trains suspended below the track, riders loop on the outside of the track instead of on the inside.

Experience nearly 3,000 feet of flight-simulating maneuvers on Afterburn's sleek, silver track—including six breathtaking inversions.  Clear for takeoff and soar skyward while you level out at 113 feet over ground.  Then, zoom back to earth with the Space Drop.  Soar through a Vertical Loop, followed by a vertical 180 and 180-degree twist combo with the Immelman—a quick-escape maneuver named for the world-renowned WWII pilot.  Next, spin into the Zero G Roll for an instant of zero-gravity flight.  Then, it’s the Batwing, with a dive into the fog right under the midway.  Come back up for a final wingover and Flat Spin, a helix finale, a picture-perfect landing. . .and a storehouse of stories for your earthbound friends!

Looks like they missed a Deck Burn reference!

Deck Burn rofl

I love that logo, its kick butt. Thank god no Flight Deck!

I thought this year wouyld be bad, but a new flat, a water park addition ( I dont agree with a second wave pool but hell I will take anything.), a new sign, rehab on Thunder Road, No Flight Deck!, and a new sign. It's looking like a good year.
