What?

On the other VORTEX topic I said:

"White, With Red track and Blue Handrails.

Oopps! Your talking about Vortex, so my opinion changes to Black with either Yellow Rails or Red rails, like I said above"

This was a referance to Thunder Road's lack of paint. (Which we'll not get into on this thread)

I Then said that I'd like to see Vortex Painted Black with Red or Yellow Rails. I'm Sorry if I offended you in anyway, but I seriously don't know how I could have. I see no way that my post on that particular subject could have pissed anyone off for that matter. You asked, "What Would You like to see Vortex painted like, thats not already on another coaster in the park?"

I said Black WITH RED RAILS, which is the opposite of how it's currently painted (RED WITH BLACK RAILS)

I'm sorry if I've thrown you into a deep depression, So, from now on I won't respond to anything you say. That way you'll have No reason to evan think about me.

Surely you are not another incarnation of the same person, that's running around with multiple names?

Don't worry there's always going to be queens at the park :) Especially around May.

I'm not here to start a competition, I'm simply letting people know that I am making a Carowinds site and if they want to visit great or if not that's alright. I'm not here to stir people away from either site. I joined so that I may discuss about Carowinds.

(Back on Topic) I wanted the boat out because I felt it was a wast of space. No one rode it anymore or else it was closed for some apparent reason. I would have been fine if they left as a shop or whatever.

This topic will never die due to the strong nature of the feelings of people about the boat and new rides.

There are two schools of thought on this matter and neither side will convince the other that they are right (or wrong).

One side wants all the latest, greatest roller coasters and the heck with nostalgia or tradition.

The other side wants both, nostalgia and new rides to co-exist.

Ultimately it does not matter what we think... Paramount is gonna do what they want and what they feel is best for the park... us flunkies that pay the money to get in have very little say in the end.

We know we're just expressing our feelings.

This post moderator edited so it is actually understandable.

[COLOR=orange]Wouldn't it be hard to turn the riverboat into a restaurant because of the sloping decks (leaning tables). This would explain why the "Queen" is missing (renovations).

Do you actualy think they will let the boat float. Im sure it would sit still. They would have to have it sucure.

The boat never floated in the first place... It had a track and wheels. :)

Yes, it only floated about an inch off the track.

Ok, If anyone didn't understand my other post, here I will clarify.

Take a 12'' wooden ruler and bend the center up a bit holding it with both hands at the ends, but not enough to break it though. This is what a crossection of the Queen's deck looked like, with your right and left hands being port and starbord. As you can see, if a table was placed on the extreme side of a deck, then it might be leaning enough to make falling glasses a real possibility. For this reason, the Queen would definitely need her deck's flattened out.

And yes, I have actually been on the ride. If you walk from the side of the ship to the center, you are walking up an incline. This is true even if the ship is sitting on smooth, level, dry land

The riverboat three perfectly level decks, I am sure that everyone agrees. It is a known fact that the Carolina Queen is gone, and will not be returning despite the hopes that she would return. Most people have "seen the great light of their hopes fade into real life."
