I'm actually really excited to see where the water park's going to be in five years. Between two expansions happening almost back to back, the second one being a mega expansion, and the fact that Cedar Fair went as far as to demolish our beloved woodie for more space, I think they've made it abundantly clear that they want to make the water park a legitimate attraction. Let's not forget that they might be giving it a unique identity from the other water parks in the chain. I've also noticed a trend and I'm sure that Cedar Fair has noticed it too. The park is kind of empty during the summer months while the water park is almost bursting at the seams (pretty much like Dorney). So expanding the water park's capacity and growing it at the same time should keep people visiting during the summer instead of avoiding the outdoors like the plague. And for those of you who aren't water park fans, that means everyone will be in Carolina Harbor instead of in line for Fury!
