A LOOOOONG time ago, there used to be a koi pond bridge near White Lightnin' that had a North Carolina sign on one side and a South Carolina sign on the other. It was near what is now the entrance to the water park area. That was back before smurf Island I think. Not even any water in that area now.

Unless I miss my guess, that was the only time the state line has ever been referenced beyond the front gate.

Are they paving some sort of path under the turnaround of Fury? I am not exactly sure, but this is my guess.

Isn't that the old area where the wide sidewalk from the parking lot was? If so, they ripped out the concrete and the bed is already there to lay a path for service trucks or whatnot.

It is on bblueprints to leave it or repave it, dont remember which but it may be leftover from the original walkway. Could it possibly be for the addition of parking lot trams in the future?

I hope that was quick drying paint on those parking lot lines. If not, its gonna be a MESS once the water dries.

Parts of it are left from the original walkway and it will become a fire access path and have a gate at the end.

I like the tram idea however.

Looks like its been changed some since the animation. In the animation, the large planter next to the Palladium comes all the way around to the path that follows the state line. In reality, it looks like it stops about 10 degrees or more short of there. They could still add a smaller one on the other side. I think it would look good if they did.

It would look good, but doesn't look like they are adding that anymore, it's been covered already.
Such a shame, that would have added some more green to the actual plaza area.

I hope they put the larger trees in the center soon, I can't wait to see what that whole area is going to look like when it's finished!

Nope. Looks like they stopped the planter on the Palladium side to match the same angle as the path on the other.

Is the center circle where the sign will go empty? If so, could we be looking at a fountain element around the new Carowinds sign there?

I mean they wasted no time with the parking lot. Are those trees I see in each island? If so, I will need them to incorporate that into the rest of the parking lot.
