Mike and some employees ran another train of blue after the "last train". We wouldn't get off the train so they ran us again vs the last silver train. Blue train stopped on the lift hill, negating the race. Blue got going a few seconds later and we finished the last run on Thunder Road. I hung out for a few more minutes and didn't see another train run tonight.

After being on the first train of Fury 325 I was glad to be on the last train of Thunder Road.

Except that wasn't the last train apparently.
They're hosting a private event tonight for people who won the contests and get RSVP seats on the official last run. If I recall correctly.

Speculating here, but the after hours run probably is around midnight tonight. I bet that's when the last contest winners will be getting on from NY city .

I was on the first train of the last day however. :D as was my whole family. (Feels great to be able to say that)

I cried. But not that much.

Ummm to the person who said they didn't like the ride ops singing and talking "delaying" the train, I completely disagree. I might be wrong but I feel like the majority of people enjoy when the ride ops are enthusiastic... I really liked the singing and stuff, and I got really into it. I really liked the ride op named Grant because he sang spongebob XD

Will they be for sale in some sort of online store? As you've heard a million times before, TR was my first coaster ever. I wish I could be there, and I'd love to have a permanent memory of it.
The wood was the only souvenirs we bought because it's a real piece of history and not some junk made in china models!

Should I post a picture of the piece of wood I got?

I don't know what side you were standing on, but on the NC side a lot of folks were cursing out the ride attendants and saying it was wasting their time for last rides.

One guy was actually shouting top of his lungs "QUIT TALKING!!!! PUSH THE BUTTON NOW!!!" so the whole station could hear him.

My family was upset and we actually left after only one ride because of how slow the loading process was taking due to incompetent employees.

Highly unprofessional and disrespectful to people who came for their last ride and had limited time to do so.

It seemed to me that most of the time the operator on the mic was doing all of that while the other attendants were checking restraints, so it wasn't really slowing anything down.

Now Six Flags Over Georgia on the other hand... every ride Friday was delaying dispatch every time to do that nonsense.

man people flipping out on carowinds facebook page. as much as I hate seeing thunder road close, I cant hate on cedar fair. Carowinds was struggling and was on the path to park closure. Cedar Fair rescued this park and is turning it into a top park. You cant make a cake with out breaking a few eggs.
