I thought they where supposed to have last rides in July?

It's a picture of Son Of Beast at Kings Island...

Honestly, do you think anyone but us would really know the slides were "used"?

Yeah, it seemed like nobody knew/cared that Cobra was used. That is, based on what I heard from people, and my family and peers (though I was in 7th grade at the time) Idk if that's a comparable example but everyone was just like "Did you hear about Carowinds's new ride? It goes BACKWARDS"

...And then came the general commentary you usually hear from middle schoolers about roller coasters: "It's ONE HUNDRED FEET tall" "No I heard it's 500 feet tall" "It has THREE loops" "It's the tallest ride in the park!" "It goes STRAIGHT UP like 90 degrees"

sorry for getting off topic, but around the time I was becoming a coaster enthusiast it was hilarious to me because kids like to act like they know what they're talking about and they exaggerate everything.

Thought about starting a new thread, "Carowinds' Next Coaster." But that would be premature, as there are already wishlist and general discussion threads. But, regarding Thunder Road's realistic replacement, the general speculation seems to be a water park expansion and possibly a flume ride of some sort. For the"big splash." So if that is the case, how soon will Carowinds likely see another coaster to replace Thunder Road in the coaster count? And what type? Because if Cedar Fair is truly trying to make Carowinds a coaster destination similar to Cedar Point, then surely they do not want to lose a coaster without eventually replacing it with another. So next year, realistically look for additions to the water park. But when shall we seet the next coaster to help compensate for the loss of Thunder Road?

Cedar Point of the south does not equate to a coaster destination. In my opinion, they are looking to make Carowinds a premier park for visitors. Now the coasters count brings people to the point but its the beaches, park atmosphere and hotels ...to name a few...that keeps them there and returning. I don't think the park operates with the mantra of feeling the need to replace a coaster because they took a coaster out. I'm gonna gamble and say it may be a while, even longer than the last gap before a coaster...but I may be wrong. I don't even think the park is pretty sure when the next coaster is coming!

It's in the process of falling over. Hence the "UFO" board flying through the air.
