that is awfully peculiar for carowinds. Maybe they're doing repairs, but they might be playing like a Kings Dominion and removing any last bit of the ride and REPLACING IT WITH A NEW COASTER? I'd like to see a GCI on my desk by 2021, thanks.

Not to complain but what’s the difference between this RRR thread and the other one?

It’ll be interesting if RRR ends up getting a refurb and/or Dino’s becomes space for family attractions. Not every square inch of the park is destined for a roller coaster.

I really wished they would address the Dinosaur Alive area before worrying about the rapids...at least Rapids is a somewhat useful ride... while Dinosaur Alive is nothing but a bunch of broken-down Dinosaur sculptures

I agree too but the Rapids was just getting worse and worse each year. Plus just like the WWF site alot of clearing and prep will need to be done. It's clear the rapids area will be addressed first now.

Alot more site work will have to be done.

There's one more year on the lease for the dinosaurs from what I've read, so the generally accepted wisdom is that they will be going away after the 2019 season.

At this point, the real question is will RRR sit SBNO for the 2019 season, or will it be a pile of dirt behind construction walls?

Yeah, I wouldn't be so quick to say either or really. Decisions are happening every day but lets just hope another park is successful in their upgrade lol .

Unless the park has something planned, I would think Rapids will be left semi-intact. Meaning like Whitewater Falls was left after the ride was removed.
