If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the construction update for January on Carowinds website, it says that testing is scheduled to begin early February, so it should begin very soon.

That was pretty much a given, but it’s good to have confirmation. March 22nd can’t get here soon enough! I plan to try to camp out there open weekend unless the crowds get too much for me to handle, lol. I’ll definitely be there the 22nd though.

Same here. Might be the only ride we get in that evening, but I think it will be worth it. Alternately, we'll have fun on some of the other rides that evening and pick it up Saturday morning. But I'd really like to ride it that night.

The park is going to be absolutely slammed. It was ridiculously busy preview night last year, but I think it was mostly kids and their parents for Camp Snoopy. Hopefully it isn't too crowded this year, but i'm sure it will be.

I remember for fury on pass holder night at 6 o’clock the line was already over 2 hours long. Every year for pass holder night, it is the most crowded I see the park all year. Every ride has ridiculously long lines.

Carowinds posted a new blog this past Wednesday with more information about Blue Ride Country Kitchen. They mentioned at the end the menu items and another treat to find in blue ridge junction that will bring some nostalgia to the long term park goers. I have a feeling this will be a dessert and possibly some special type of ice cream. Not completely sure.
