I was wondering what everybodys thoughts were on the 2006 season. To see how it went.


Overall
-Overall i think the season went by pretty quickly it was fun. A lot more energy within the park this year i think

Rides
-Considering that we got the Go-Karts it was just another year but actually i felt it was a step in the right direction

Theming
-Boomerang Bay has some great theming there could be more like the waterfall in the lagoon etc. But i felt Carowinds will begin to theme rides and areas a lot better in years to come

Shows and Parades- Only saw School of Rock once and yeah it was ok couldnt see anything else

I've tried to go at least once a year over the years... This was the first year that I bought a Season Pass... mainly because a. I live right down the street, b. This was a big Water Park Year(which means the rest of the park wasn't AS busy normally.

I very much enjoyed myself at the park this year. The boost of all the strange announcements about Cedar Fair and such really threw up this Nostalgia feeling about the park as well considering many changes could be happening to the park soon that may take away from these things.

My main thing was that 2005 all year in general was just a really bad year for us and having the park nearby and full access to it really was a nice change in my mind for me and my family for this past year as opposed to how 2005 went. I think this was a major reason why I fell in love with the park this year.

Even though many days may have not seemed busy, there were always at least some people in the park on all days. And a lot of times it was people walking around with maps... so you knew that they had never been there before, and they had this sense that the park was really complicated to get around. Though us Veterans know the park inside and out, its great to see that not only us Veterans are the only ones showing up. This means that the park will grow.

Overall I was very impressed this year. Boy does our park need some help though and Cedar Fair couldn't have come in at a better time. Will be nice to see the changes... At this point and time... I would just be happier if we just got a repaved, possibly redesigned parking lot...I will still go at least every other week this coming year granted if I feel getting the season pass is something that is affordable this coming year... I do wish that there was still the option of a middle ground 50 dollar pass for only the pre Cedar Fair Parks.... 80 bucks is a little steep especially if you are the head of household and are paying for passes for all of your family members. The value is great... I just need to keep myself thinking clearly on how much I want to part with my money I guess.
