Yes, I know. Let's beat this dead horse again....

As some of you may remember from years past, one of my biggest "park related pet peeves" are TV commercials that show OTHER parks rides. Has anyone seen the new Carowinds commercial?

Overall, it's not bad. I actually like the new Carowinds commercial. Very good, very creative, so unlike the Paramount commercials of years past. Since I've only seen it once, I had to look hard and fast to catch the ride clips. It does appear to show our Ricochet & our Hurler and the Super Saturator.

But, they continue to show that bleep, bleepin' clip of PGA's Top Gun, and not Carowinds Top Gun. I know, I know. We've discussed this before but I will never be convinced that it will cost more money and more than just a little bit of time to edit that clip with the right Top Gun.

Oh, and did the Wave Swinger make a return to Carowinds? Well, the commercial proudly shows the ride just whirling away as if it never left.

Maybe there will be another surprise awaiting you guys this weekend.

As I've said in the past, why can't WE have a Wave Swinger? Everyone enjoys a hop on a wave swinger, even my wife. We don't even have a tilt-o-whirl any longer!

I also have a problem with CW always advertising the PGA Top Gun. My girls can even tell the difference at a glance! I feel certain that CF will put together some better advertising in time - it'll take awhile to convert all five parks...

It seems that everyone just loves PGA's Top Gun. Even Busch Gardens Europe's brochure, which has always had beautiful pictures of Alpengeist (IMO one of the most photogenic coasters in the country), has in the last couple of years started putting that picture of the PGA Top Gun corkscrew in the brochure.

Are they at least showing the correct Vortex? Or like in previous years did we magically turn the cyclone into Vortex from KI?

I've got Tivo and I backed it up and they are indeed using our Ricochet and Super Saturator. Not sure about Hurler.

The whole Top Gun thing is just annoying, but it's not going to ever change.

I'm to the point of just laughing at it everytime I see it.

We are the only people in the world that care. The GP could care less.

lol! Didn't Knott's Great America get our beloved Whirling Dervish? They call them "Celebration Swings". :angry:

I noticed the new Ricochet footage too...it looked nice, and the whole Carolina Boardwalk area, on television!
