Looks like a wavepool to me,lol. WOW, most of the employee parking lot is gone. I hope they expand the gravel parking lot. I used to park my car where the new wavepool is going. I still say maybe the old wavepool will be removed to open up the front of the waterpark.

I don't know...maybe this addition want be that bad after all? The new wave pool looks pretty big, and there was a need for another changing room/restroom facility and locker rentals! I'm interested in seeing how CF will theme the new area, if at all.

that's insane...a strong man could almost splash the riders on thunder road.

REALLY STRONG. The pool is a good ways away from the ride. Thats's atleast a good 15 ft if not more.

That is a lot more than 15 feet, more like 30-50!

yada yada yada it a cesspool when all the kiddies get in it and use it to potty train.. I haven't been in the one there and won't go in the new one.. waste of good coaster money

Is it even a good idea to have the pool that close to the coaster? I have heard of a few parks that don't run coasters durring the summer because it's so loud and i guess it effects the lfeguards duties. TR is pretty loud in the turnaround area so would this create a problem?

Knock Knock, The waterpark has been that close to Thunder Road since 1989. We are not Six Flags, we don't make lame excuse to close roller coasters because we are too cheap to take them down and they cost too much to operate.

The slides are that close yes but the first vave pool is not. You can hardly hear TR from the old pool or not at all. The slides are different. The lifeguards wait in the pool at the end of the slide and the pools are really small so noise should not effect them.

I was refering to the lifeguard(s) that will have their backs right up to TR.

There are lifegaurds at the tops of the towers too. Lazy River is next to Thunder Road, and so is Kookaburra Bay. The new wavepool will not affect operation of Thunder Road. Hydra Fighter located next to the Wet N Wild, and the lifegaurds there didn't have a problem the years it did run.
