I've been to Scarowinds 6 times this year, mainly due to my obsession with the Dead Awakening Show. I've been to Dead Awakening so many times that some of the workers in the lobby have come to know me and I usually talk to them about the show afterwards (they frequently change aspects about the show; small things, but I noticed them). Anyway, from my last visit, I've been informed that due to countless complaints from concerned parents about the "adult" nature of the show , it will not be returning next year. This really enrages me because parents are told the show (AND THE ENTIRE FREAKIN' SCAROWINDS EVENT) is not intended for children (Scarowinds is rated PG-13 and Dead Awakening is rated R.) When you take your children to an R rated show or event...you have ZERO right to complain about what they are exposed to. You as the parent are solely to blame. It disgusts me that a show as good as Dead Awakening isn't being brought back because some parents didn't heed the warnings about the show's content.
(Also, from my sources, I learned that Dead Awakening's last show will be on Friday, even though Scarowinds will continue until Saturday).
(I also learned during the same conversation that although there will be an ice show next summer, it will not be the same show as in the past 2 years).
