General Carowinds discussion

Since Jr. is now the GM at the Winds, I wonder if this means we now have the inside track for some really cool stuff in the future? I hope junior is spoiled rotten and will really lay into daddy to get what the wants. "Daddy I want that 400ft trackless, looping dive machine you just ordered for Cedar Point to come to Carowinds. If you don't give it to me, I'm going to lay in the floor, kick up my heels and spin like a helicopter. "

Bottom line, I bet we'll see some great additions in the future, with Bart & Dani both here. There's a good bet that our park will become the Cedar Point of the South. There is no reason to expect any less. CF realizes the potential of this park and this region. The "coaster2010" project will probably really get things rolling in that direction! Watch out Busch, SFOG and IOA, here we come!

Well Islands of Adventure really isnt comparable because it isn't the same type of park as carowinds, its much more of a "Themed Park." But hey, maby thats the direction carowinds will be headed, i dont think so but maby.
Now Bush Gardens on the other hand is a Goal I think Carowinds can reach with the right atention from CF.

I thought the same thing when I read the news today. Let's hope he has Dad on a tight leash so we can finally see some tall coasters at Carowinds. It's sad that our newest relocated boomerang is the tallest coaster in the park! Family connections aside, Carowinds seems to pull enough people from 2 different states to warrant a nice coaster addition soon.

I expect whenever Daddy retires, Bart might be in line for the throne.

Otherwise I don't know anything about him, seeing as I've only had Cedar Fair for a parent company of my home park for a few years.

I don't see what influence Dani would have on what rides they get. The PR person might be able to politic for something, but doesn't really have a say. From what I saw they appeared to be more into central planning than Paramount ever was.

I don't see Busch being their model either, since the flagship park CP doesn't look anything like a Busch park. I think the more rides, concrete and garbage cans model is more what we will see.

As far as Prince Bart ascending the throne, something has to happen to the Grand Vizier Jack Falfas for that to happen.

Please re-read my post. I said "Daddy" not "Dani".

Maybe read the rest of the thread - :D

Not the opening post, third one down by coasterdaddy - he's the one that referenced "Dani". So unless Coasterdaddy has some secret knowledge, I'm not sure what impact she will have.

I think having a family connection is a good thing. Just think how mad you would be if your dad puts you in charge of a park and then proceeds to handicap you by giving you hand-me-down rides every year. If I'm Bart and all the presidents are sitting around a table making proposal for new attractions, Daddy better not ignore me and give it to say, Kings Dominion. No, no, no; that will be the last time he'll see the grand babies for a while.
