Regardless of when it may occur, Carowinds is bound to get another new coaster some day. In your opinion, what's next and why?

I personally choose "Floorless" partially because it's what I want most, and partially because it's well within budget.

I also agree with a floorless. Those motorcyle coasters look pretty neat to. Time will tell when carowinds gets their next coaster. It could be next season or it could be a few years.they next thing I think carowinds should do is
take out the old wave pool and put in a new water slide, like the ones that go stright down or the funnels

To be honest a floorless works best for me.

I think the floorless thing has kind of run its course. There hasn't been once since Scream in 2003 and Hydra in 2005. Cedar Fair seems to be high on the GCI woodies, so that's my vote.

Nice thinking about the old wave pool. Don't expect that anytime soon.....or possibly ever. The main reason for getting the new wave pool was because the old one wasn't large enough for the crowds. And now that there are two, EVEN MORE people push their way into the gates of the waterpark. I remember one day when it was sooo hot in the sun, it was even hotter in the wavepool because there was soo many people in there trying to beat the heat. To get one of those huge "straight down drop" slides, I still say just add one more level on top of Pipeline Peak and stick it up there and to get one of those "Cyclone" slides just add it on top/to the side of the duel pink small slides. Place the huge cyclone in between the old wave pool and Surfer Joe's.

As far as the next coaster goes, GCI woodie sounds more realistic. I know it keeps getting said, but....Hurler. There are technically only 4 out of the 13 coasters made of wood at Carowinds. Fairly odd is over looked, Thunder Road is being TLCed and then there is Hurler. Hurler is quickly becoming very rough and is starting to look un-cost-effective. Taking it out would allow the park to expand in the woods behind it, and would make space for a more reliable and more efficient woodie. Steel is good, but a GCI is almost a surreal experience compared to the woodies we have.

I would like to see a floorless at Carowinds. I tend to like those more (after inverteds), Although since we are getting such a huge investment with Intimidator, a woodie would seem more economical for the next. GCI is fine, as long as it's smoother than Gwazi at BGT, It's ok, but still gives me a headaches after 2 or 3 rides on either side. I don't think Hurler is as bad on me as some. Tho I have only ridden it only a few times in 2008, and before that was 2002 when I still lived in Charlotte and went all the time, so it may be worse than I remember now.

I really think the GCI. I would love for them to take out Hurler and expand. Floorless would be my second guess, or wish.

Gwazi is by far the worst GCI. The ones with Millennium Flyers on them are like a night and day difference from the ones without.

Honestly, we need a launching coaster, and I would like it to be an intamin. We already have 3 B&Ms.

I am well aware that CF isn't all that good with intamin, but I would really love to see a accelerator here..

Come to think of it, I would also like to see an Intamin launched coaster in the future. There aren't any Intamin steel coasters south of KD. Of course it would be nice to have one here in FL if not Carowinds. One of the rumors is that BGT getting one for 2011, but I hadn't seen any confirmation.

Where'd you come up with that idea? Look at Cedar Point. That place is fastly becoming an Intamin showroom.

Well the list isn't that spactular in my opinion. I wouldn't be so quick to call a floorless within budget. Compared to other coasters Beemers tend to be more costly. I would like to see more innovation at the park. A launch/lift combo eurofighter coaster would be cool and marketable, a gravity group wooden coaster in the likes of the boardwalk bullet would be nice (not as rough as some reports say lol)done by gci lol, dare I say an aquatrax coaster would really bring attention to the park, since we're talking intamin...how about a zac-spin? I don't know how well a megalite would work with intimidator being "similar".

But why anticipate a coaster? Im more interested in lobbying the park to get a slide package or a snazzy water park expansion. I have seen somewhere these new interactive water play structures popping up all over the place as well as the tantrum alley style slide tower. Or even a flat ride package. All the park really needs is 3 good flats and I think it would be much better!
but yeah, I wannt see a slightly innovative coaster at carowinds next.
