I have noticed that when I ride in the single riders line, it's long tooo slow. They only put you in a row if there is an odd number of people in a regular line party. What do you think. I am just going to ride in the regular line now.

They need to try to limit the amount of large groups trying to take advantage of the single rider line, because they are the reasoon its so long, besides that I think they do a great job of filling empty seats with it.

Was there today and glad to see that single rider line was CLOSED. Some people would jump over once in the regular line to be turned back at the top of the stairs. This was nice to see. As usal the crew gave us some great rides today. Had a ball and can not wait to go back tomorrow.

^I don't know about those exact days, but the line is sometimes closed on really really slow days, and also when the wait time is too long(which is when the back of the line is around the special access cut across).

In my experience, I've waited around 15-20 minutes in the single rider line (with 3 trains) and 15-20 minutes in the regular line (with the first set of switchbacks being empty) to ride. The single ride line isn't always a 'longer' wait, its about the same, you're just not moving forward a lot, but the wait time is about the same. In my experience.

The single rider line is precisely what it's called, a line for single riders. They're only going to take someone out of that line when an odd number of riders comes out of the regular line. The single rider line is by NO means an "express line." So if you are with a group of people, for the love of all that's holy, USE THE REGULAR LINE!!!!!!! Not only will it make your life easier by probably shortening your wait, it will also insure that you ride together as a group and it will make the grouper's life a LOT easier when they don't have to argue with you about splitting your group up because you couldn't read the sign that said "single riders."

Note: This rant isn't directed at anyone, it's just a general FYI.

I waiting in the single riders line yesterday and it was very frustrating to see "groups" of middle school kids waiting in the single riders line and when someone in the regular line wasn't paying attention, they would jump over to the regular line effectively skipping most of the line.

Fixed, and well said. :D

I try to warn people that it isn't an express line when I can at the entrance.

I dont know why but the workers were making me go to the single riders line for some reason?

I saw that the regular line was short so i wanted to get in that line but then some worker asked me if i was alone and i said yes so they maid me go to the single riders line....

Why they do that?

I too have been again recently scolded by the Grouper and told the same thing.... I thought that was what the SRL was for.......... Giving an odd number of persons...1,3,5,7,9 etc... someone to ride with.. Its not Rocket Science people...

As a patron, what would you rather do? Wait in a line for an hour plus to eventually get a seat, or get in a seat in 10 minutes or less most of the time in the regular line.. Yes I know teenagers use this line as an "express lane" to the front of the line. Heck I saw it all day friday..

Now I know the "powers that be" read this board.. And I have a suggestion for a solution to the matter.. Just turn the SRL into a "Front Seat" line... You dont have to worry about odd numbers of people, (most every train has empty seats on them anyways) You know exactly what seat you are waiting for, No line jumping, When the line is empty, fill the Front seat out of the regular que, Everyones happy..Image

Thats my $.02

You know after being there on sunday and "observing" the srl, and the reg line. I think i have figured it out as to why the srl is so slow. Basically you don't have 4 across seats anymore. it's 2 arcoss. Most groups usually ride in pairs occasionally you got a 3 group, but mostly its 2 or 4. But you don't sit 4 across anymore so there isn't that many odd number groups to equal it out. I am trying to word it right for everyone to understand what i am trying to say. But i think everyone's got it.
