General Carowinds discussion
#45244
I recently looked at another forum where people were talking about times when you hear Non-coaster enthusiasts say false (usually very dumb) things about coasters.

My story was one time at Carowinds I just got off White Water Falls and was soaking wet after standing on the bridge. Me and my friend who is also soaked to the bone went to get in line for Afterburn. This one girl turns and asks what ride we just road. Now this was during the time where Nighthawk was closed for like a month last year. Without missing a beat, I sarcastically say "Well the reason why Nighthawk is down right now is because we were riding it earlier, then our seat restraints failed. We then fall into the pond below avoiding all injury." SHE BELIEVED ME!!!!

No I am not attempting to troll. I am just trying to get everyone to share funny stories of people who say dumb things when it comes to coasters, in order to get a good laugh

I know what you mean, but sadly sometimes I catch myself doing it too lol

What really gets on my nerves is when I am standing in line and some kid will try to tell me something that is obviously not true.
Ex: THEM-Did you know that the Intimidator goes over 100 mph? ME-Oh no, really? Tell me more. THEM-Yeah I've ridden it 6 times, I think that might be a record. ME(in my head)-Are you kidding me? I've rode this thing 15 times today.

Correct me if im wrong but doesn't the lift hill spiel even says "the intimidator"? I haven't been on the coaster since opening day so my memory of it is kinda vauge.
