We havent been to Carowinds in about 10 years or so...we have been to the Orlando parks many times in the past 10 years...So we are familiar with park touring...Can someone tell me when would be the best time to go to Carowinds as far as crowds go...We were thinking maybe one of the next couple weekends during April. My oldest son is finishing up school baseball and will have a couple week break before travel ball...Would a weekend sat/sun be better now or after the summer say Aug/Sept....any thoughts? and touring advice would be greatly appreciated...TIA

Best time to visit Carowinds during this time of year would be any day but Saturday. Sundays is usually crowd less as the same for Fridays. You can ride as many times as you would like with the very few, if any lines. Including Intimidator.

Any Sunday is definately the best day to go. Rainy dreary days are also very good (when its like really cloudy and has been raining). Saturdays are usually the most crowded, and also avoid holiday weekends.

Hijacking a bit instead of starting a new thread...with the same theme

How are the spring break weekday crowds?

Intro: newbie to the forum but been going to Carowinds on and off since before white lighting was there (yes, old foggie here).

I haven't been in years and I hate crowds but love coasters - so how do spring break weekdays compare to Sundays in general? We were going to go next Sunday, but may not make it. Next chance would be Thursday/Friday during Spring Break.

We're getting season passes this year, hope to make it there lots!

Welcome to Carowinds Connection, ride_on.

This year is my first time back to the park since 2006 so I don't know the answer to your question. I suspect that if the weather is nice, the park will be relatively busy during spring break.

You're not the only other 'old guy' (depending on perspective) here but this forum has a great group of people who use it.

Sidow’s studies rely on the principle that if certain pieces of DNA are solexaretained throughout evolution, they must be important. Things that aren’t conserved by evolution are less likely to be required forillumina sequencing basic functions. “I think the rule is that important stuff stays,” he said.

I have a feeling the above is posted in the wrong place.
