General Carowinds discussion

I was recently put in a boot on my ankle. I am curious if Carowinds has any regulations about riding the various rides while wearing the boot. Is it allowed or would I have to take it off for each ride?

I don't think you would have a problem with anything except possibly for the rides where your legs aren't touching a floor (Afterburn, Drop Tower). Even those might be okay. Worth giving the park a call about.

"Guests with casts and braces will be restricted from riding rides where the cast or brace will not fit inside the ride unit or where it will present a hazard to the guest or others. Guests with full arm (elbow restricted) and full leg (knee restricted) casts or braces are restricted from most rides and slides at Carowinds and Boomerang Bay. We suggest you delay your visit until the cast is removed."

Go by Guest Services before entering the park, they will advise you of which rides you can ride. Have fun and be safe.

Thanks! I can take it off, just do not want to hassle with putting it on and off for every ride. I will definitively check by with guest services next time I visit.

Like everyone has said it will vary with each ride. The requirments come from the ride, I know you will not be able to wear it on Intimidator, and I believe the same applies to afterburn, as far as the rest of the rides you will have to check with guest services, or read the rider saftey guidlines that are at the entrance to each ride.
