So yesturday afternoon I was at carowinds and yes it rained most of the day; however around 6.30pm the sun was shining so brightly the park was basically empty. As i go to ride drop zone, we get to the top and what happens?....A power surge goes through out the whole park. every ride that was in operation stops in its track and we're stuck 150ft. in the air for over 90mins........AWESOME!!!!!!!!! i had a blast up there. lol

NO THEY DID NOT...everyone was basically having a good convo and all of a sudden DROOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!!!!!! AWSEOME.....i honestly wish they did different timings or did count downs or even sing songs like pop goes the weasel before the drop so guest like me cant predict the 3 secs of sittn up there like at KD and KI every time I've ridden their drop tower you will never know when your going to drop. the ride operator maybe have a full convo with you and drop you in the mist of the convo LOL iLOVE THAT

Yeah the anticipation and the fact that you don't know when it's going to drop is what makes those rides so much fun. That's one of the reasons Tower of Terror at Disney is so popular I think, you can never predict when it's going to drop!

Now, now... Who needs gravity when all the world's coasters are powered!

Dang it. This means my coaster count needs to totally be redone. :-/

So in reality what happened was you were stuck in the air for less than thirty minutes and then maintenance slowly cranked you down. The sensationalism is unnecessary. As one of the people who were working that day, we'd appreciate if you represented us correctly.

I've been waiting for this post. Anyone who has been stuck on a drop tower knows they don't just drop you.
