Today was the commercial filming for Borg Assimilator. It felt almost like a Carowinds Connection group therapy session. Mr and Mrs LocoDriver was there. The everdelightful CoasterBruh was on the scene sporting his new look. Thrillseeker and friend appeared too. BgwFreak was on hand also. Bet he thought we were all crazy. Uncle Fester and Lurch were there too.

After a close call with the Borg *** (a construction worker who decided to expose his aspirations) while on the way up the stairs to the station, the day was set for rides on everybody's favourite new addition to the park. I was really anxious to see Loco's reactions to it. (He pretty much liked it except for the outer seats. In fact, we had people sitting in just the middle seats in two rows at one point. LOL)

Since tomorrow is media day, the whole area was abuzz with work being done in preparation for it. Workers were doing something to the sphere. More Borg sphere pieces were laid out in the grassy area in front of it. Some of the ACE members will be taking part in the skit that will be part of the ceremonies. Our part: to ride Borg. I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow!

Sounds cool. Sounds like they added more theming. Maybe we will see the mist coming from the sphere.

Hey Max, you forgot to mention how we were dissed by the production crew when told to sit in the last row (the old foggie row). Mrs. Loco is still upset about that one!!!

By the way did you get a chance to see John Blacks version of the Matrix???LOL!!

I was going to be there but it is the end of the quarter where I work and I did not get off untill noon.
Max, please report after Media Day and let us know hown things were. Did you remember the Advil or did you move around alot today?
Coasterbruh, when do we get to see your new look? Are you going to update your profile now as I would hate to see you at the park and not realize who you are.

Getting ready to leave in a few to head out to Media Day. It looks to be a nice day without any rain insight. I doubt that I'll ride today. I was having probs with my ear yesterday and was getting dizzy after rides on BORG. Its not gotten any better. Kept on going through the night. I might ride but we'll see.

Now for my 2 cents.....................

After pretty much everyone left several folks and me stayed for another "10-minute" break we rode for some more. After like 2 more trips we breaked again for yet an infamous break. This time it was more like a "15-minute" break. Later on we saw them bringing some pizza our way, but to our dismay it was for the crew!! Now here i am thinking.............they arent doing anything so why are they getting the goods!! But have no fear, for they brought us pizza also, pizza flavored combos!!

After I ate a pack, which i forced myself to being that i was suffering a severe case of nausea from all the riding, I went "explored" the crash site. Well they are adding some more stuff around the grounds surrounding the corkscrews and they were on the sphere doing something to it. I asked about the lighting and I was told that it was for tomorrow (today) but the sphere will glow green at night on a regular.

While we were waiting for Quentin Tarintino to set the cigar camera in place we were just chilling (literary) out freezing our arses off being that it felt 30 something out there w/ the wind blowing. I had the honor to see a dry run of today's events. The woman was funny to me lol lol. She was acting as if she was the actual people and talking like them. After seeing that i was like well bing that i know whats gonna happen tomorrow im not too thrilled on going (even if i was invited, which i WASNT!!). Once the camera got connected they sent the train out, by that time it was only another guy and me left in the station. The train came back w/ the camera all twisted out of place lol lol so back to the drawing board. Oh yeah...........they finally brought us some jersey mike subs, chips, cookies, and soda!!

Everyone else was out exploring the park being that it was plenty enough time to do so. I stayed at the site cause i was nosey and i wanted to see what they were doing. I was told that they went around playing basket ball and the bowling thing. I was like that is soo cool to be able to have the park to yourself, now only if the rides were operating. Ok back on track.................once the other 4 saw the coaster operating again they came running back, but only to wait another "10-minutes"

Finally, everything was good and sturdy it started. The rain came pouring down. We waited it out and tried to get the last 2 runs in but after a while it start getting dark. Oh yeah a park employee came earlier, when it was only the other guy and me in the station, and she gave us 2 admission tickets for staying. She found the others and gave them tickets. She was real nice too lol lol. I just kept asking for that space heater, which i never got!!

All and all it was a nice experience for me to be able to be in the park w/o the general public in there.

And as far as the new look....................well thrillseeker barely reconized me heh heh heh. I didnt take any pics of it but im sure you can still tell its me, i hope!!

Max would you tell Scott that I did not want to leave. I had to go because my cousin had to go somewhere and I was going to have to go the the hospital if I got on borg anymore that day. I am still kind of sick. I guess I should have eaten something before I came. I might be at the park tomorrow if anyone wants to meet me there for some ride time.

It was extremely cold.... brrrrr.... When I finally made it home I jumped in bed and threw several blankets over my sheets.... But i still had a blast! Borg met my expectations.... not bad, but not the best in the park (TG). The sphere is awesome and the landscaping is proffesional.

(For those of you there Wednesday, I was the dude in the bright green shirt who road in the first and second cars)

Ah, the bright green shirt guy. I remember you, as you were one of the final 5 people with me. I was the dude in the red shirt that was supposed to ride in the front on the final trip that never happened. You are correct on the extreme cold. It was insane.
