For those who haven't noticed yet, BORG is running a bit faster now than it was opening day. Since I never saw it run in CA. I wasn't sure exactly how fast this ride normally goes. I did notice on opening day how sluggish it looked going through the loops but I figured that was normal.
Well, on media day I noticed it was gliding through the course and the loop at a much more fluid motion without that stalling action in the loop. Me and Dr. Possum investigated this (as she was becomming very agitated) and found out from a particular source that the paint on the tracks is what was slowing it down. I was told that there was too much paint on the rails, causing it to run slower. Apparantly, the coaster has been running enough to wear a path through the paint thus causing the speed to pick up a little. This was most likely the cause of the rollback the coaster had back during the testing phase.
Take note of the speed increase next time. It's most obvious in the loop.
