General Carowinds discussion

They were just showing the path of the tornado that hit Charlotte this morning and it touched down just north of Westinghouse Blvd and I-77. That's pretty darn close to our park! Thankfully it wasn't a very strong tornado anyway but it was confirmed as an EF0 (winds between 60-80mph). It crossed Arrowood Rd and dissipated at the Ruby Tuesday.

Yes, thank goodness. They have enough construction going on and they don't need any more worries.

I got to work around 6:45am and my phone started blowing up with Emergency Notices saying seek shelter immediately, then the Emergency Radio Broadcast broke in stating a Tornado was forming to seek shelter. With the trees bending over and the rain coming down in sheets I ran inside. I work on Latrobe Drive, far enough away but couldn't see diddle because of the trees. Geesh.

If carowinds were in the path of the EF0 tornado, I would think nothing too bad would happen other than some construction to be blown around, considering the winds did not exceed 90 MPH.
