So the record for the most users online at CC was 149 on August 29th, 2009, the release date of our queen Intimidator. That's been a long time. So with this record-breaking attraction why don't all of us here try to break our record for the most users online on the day that the record-breaker is released. It would be a good way to just get the hype up even more by trying to set a record of our own.

So what do you think? Could we do it?

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I think it will get smashed pretty easily. Visits to the site last month were up 303% over June 2010 and 502% over June 2013.

We've had nearly 100 registered users active in the last week and generally at any given moment the majority of active visitors are unregistered guests, so I suspect 149 should be blown out of the water on announcement day.

Hopefully the server can handle it...

Have you ever thought opening a Paypal account for donations/ contributions to help upgrade the site and servers. Also a great website called Kickstarter that we can promote Worldwide for needed funds for this project.
Just a thought. Maybe CF or CW might surprise us with a contribution. You have done a great job over the years with this site but now as we convert to the "Cedar Point of the South" we might need to evolve as well.

Currently the revenue from the banner ads covers all bills related to the site so there is no need for anyone to reach into their wallet. If the site ever grows beyond the limits of the current host then I'll re-evaluate.

I doubt many members here would give money out of their pockets. Carowinds Zone's bill comes out of my pocket but the activity level is alot higher here.
