General Carowinds discussion

Hey guys, I'm a 5'2 female, 250 lbs. My waist is right at 42''. It's where I hold the majority of my weight, but my thighs aren't meaty. I'm wondering if I'm going to have trouble riding any rides when I visit Carowinds soon, specifically Fury 325. When I visited about two years ago, I rode Intimidator without trouble, but I'm not sure if I have more inches on my waist now. I'm really looking forward to going and I don't want my visit to be ruined by my ongoing battle with my health/weight.

"Barely fit" meaning you were able to ride it?? Because I'm totally ok with barely fitting, as long as I get to go

The good thing about both Fury and Intimidator is that there's a test seat outside of both queue lines to allow you to get an idea of whether or not you'd fit on the ride. I'd imagine that if you fit comfortably in those seats, you shouldn't have a problem riding.

Honestly, I think you will need to just go and try it to know. I know there have been some people say they can ride Intimidator but not able to ride Fury, so even using that as a comparison may not be too great.
There have been times that I've seen some riders who (with all due respect..) I never would've thought they could get the lap bar down all the way but did, and others who I'd thought they should've easily been able too but not quite make it.
Good luck, hope you'll be able to ride it! :)

Last year my son and daughter in-law came with me and my son could not ride anything except for Thunder Road. Of all the rides in the park, go figure.

Turns out, as we tried to figure out why he could not fit on the others, it was his rear end that would not allow him to "sink" far enough down in the seats to get the required safety clicks. He is a big boy but not an overweight boy.
