Carowinds has evidently contracted the House of Blues to operate the Paladium for the 2004 Season:

I think one of the good things that may come out of this is is a wider variety of concerts and music genres. This year's line up looks considerably better than last year's. (Though I'll miss Weird Al !!)

May 23rd:
Ginuwine with Joe and Jagged Edge

July 27th:
311 with The Roots

August 13th:
Emmylou Harris with Patty Griffin and Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings

House of Blues also operates venues in Myrtle Beach and Atlanta, along with over 20 other locations in North America

I know that they have done some remodeling in the Stage Coach (Back Stage Area) of the Paladium. I was actually hoping that they were going to have some more concerts there this season, and Start Competing with Verizon Wireless

I think this is really cool. It will give even more exposure to Carowinds as well.
