With all the recent additions to the parks and the road that paramount decided to go with their parks now I want to know as fellow patrons of paramount parks how do you guys feel. It's pretty evident that PP wants their parks to have it's visitors to "live the movies" now but that also means some parks will loose their "original scheme". Or as we have seen it lately some attractions have been given the heeve ho in order to accomodate the new path of the parks. So..........wadda ya think.

I think it is a great step in the right direction. Sure, I miss some of the originality of the parks but you have to keep up with customers. As for Carowinds and the Carolina boardwalk they sort of retain the Carolinas.
In one of the surveys they asked about movie themed rides and I more or less replied they needed to decide wether they were going to be an Amuesment Park or a Movie Studio Theme Park. Well, hopefully they will keep up and do the later.
I like riding the movies as long as they all are not simulator type rides or cheezy in production.

I voted it has it's pros and cons like coasterbruh said. You get exciting new attractions like The Italian Job, but you also loose classic attractions like the Carolina Sternwheeler.

I hate the fact that Carowinds has gotten rid of almost all the original theming to the park.

You had a colonial section, a "pioneer" section, etc. Most of them having to do with the history of the Carolinas.

But at the same time they've added (can't think of the name right now) the boardwalk/beach section with Ricochet themed around a beach coaster.

I would have liked to keep the old theming, but since most of it is gone now, there's not much we can do about it.

I'd love to see Paramount do a "back-lot" section to the parks. Since Wayne's World is gone, and it's now just the Thrill Zone. Which is so generic.

Then have that section have most of the movie theming. Then keep some of the rest of the park themed around whatever region they are in.

I'm actually surprised it took so long for the Paramount 'brand' to be seen more in the parks.

For the most part, the first 5 years the only movie theming we saw was the movie posters throughout the parks lol ;) :D

I think paroumount is going into a great direction because of new techno rides.
