Carowinds is offering free admission for Florida evacuees through Monday. The theme park handed out more than 500 free tickets Saturday.

And they say that over 2 million people evacuated Florida and many of them are coming into NC & SC. Hey, maybe we'll hit the 2-mil mark for attendance this year after all.....

And thus another reason I think Carowinds is a great park. Yea, it may be about the money but they also have a great personal side.
Do you think Disney or Universal will give out free passes after the storms to welcome everyone back? I think not. Kud-ohs Carowinds.

I was there today, Sunday, and there was a good crowd on hand. Not as many as I thought there would be but a good crowd non the less.
